From Wednesday, September 30 to Sunday, October 4, the Camping & Caravan Trade Fair will be dedicated to Dutch innovation. During the fair, visitors will be introduced to a large number of homegrown premieres: from new caravans, motorhomes, and folding trailers to smart camping accessories and innovative concepts for outdoor recreation. In doing so, the sector demonstrates how it responds to changing consumer preferences, ranging from customization and flexibility to compact and multifunctional travel.

At the same time, the fair is explicitly focusing on experience with the new Utrecht Camping Village, where visitors can experience the versatility of outdoor life.
Dutch innovation for new target groups
The Netherlands is among the most innovative camping countries in Europe. This is clearly visible at the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs, where a large number of manufacturers are presenting new models and concepts. For instance, Easy Caravanning is showcasing the latest variant of the award-winning GetAway caravan, while Lume Traveler is introducing its new Ranger, which has immediately been nominated for the ANWB Caravan of the Year title.
Glaravans, the Hengelo-based company known as a restorer of classic caravans, presents its first fully in-house caravan, the Wave. This marks the entry of a fourth Dutch caravan manufacturer onto the market. Innovations also dominate the motorhome market. Wally-Van presents a compact campervan with an innovative slide-out solution for the first time. Ventje unveils its first 7-person model, while Tonke introduces a new model with a choice of different powertrains.
ANWB Camper of the Year winner VAN-Jorn is also represented at the fair. The innovation is not limited to caravans and motorhomes. Two striking folding trailer premieres can be seen at the joint stand of Cabanon and Bardani. Bardani is presenting a world premiere with the new Summitcruiser. This flexibly configurable folding trailer for two to four people is being shown to the public for the first time in Utrecht. In addition, the Trailcruiser is also making its debut. Cabanon, in turn, is showing the Savana for the first time in the Netherlands: a compact two-person folding trailer that can be set up in just six steps and within 25 minutes. With these introductions, manufacturers are responding to trends such as ease of use, customization, compact travel, and multifunctional use. In doing so, the Dutch camping sector continues to distinguish itself with innovative solutions for both experienced campers and newcomers.
New influx for the sector
According to exhibition manager Rachel Jankowsky, these innovations align with a changing market. “We see that camping is becoming increasingly attractive to new target groups. Manufacturers are responding to this with smart solutions, more customization, and concepts that meet the wishes of modern travelers. Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs brings these developments together and demonstrates the level of innovative power present in the Netherlands.” The innovations are not only visible in caravans and motorhomes. Dutch companies are also presenting new products in the areas of folding trailers, tents, awnings, canopies, and accessories. In doing so, the camping industry continues to evolve and respond to changing consumer expectations.
The Utrecht Camping Village
In addition to product innovations, Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs is explicitly focusing on the experience this edition. With the introduction of the Utrecht Camping Village, the fair demonstrates that camping is much more than just a caravan, camper, or tent. In this new world of experience, the complete outdoor lifestyle takes center stage. Visitors can find inspiration for their next holiday, exchange experiences, get acquainted with recreational activities, and discover the appeal of camping life. In doing so, the fair caters to a new generation of visitors who are not only interested in the camping vehicle itself, but rather in the total recreational and outdoor experience.
By bringing together innovations, premieres, and experiences, Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs aims to inspire both existing campers and new target groups. In doing so, the fair remains an important showcase for developments within the Dutch recreation and camping market.
