The ENTER 2026 eTourism Conference will take place on the campus of Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) from January 27 to 30, 2026. This annual international event is organized in collaboration with the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) and attracts experts from around the world involved in digitalization in tourism, leisure, and hospitality.
Under the theme "Advancing tourism technology for a better future," ENTER26 focuses on how technological innovation can contribute to a smarter, more inclusive, and more sustainable future for the tourism sector. The conference connects scientific research with practical application, aiming to develop tourism in a way that creates added value for businesses, local communities, and the environment.
During the three-day program, various current topics will be discussed, including:
- Digital innovations for sustainability and flexibility
- Ethics and responsible use of technology
- Scaling up smart technologies while preserving human connection and cultural authenticity
- Value creation through technology together with tourists, professionals and communities
- Impact of new technology on learning, leadership and work in tourism
- The role of ICT in regenerative and climate-positive tourism
International cooperation
Professor Jessika Weber-Sabil, affiliated with the Research Group Digital Transformation in Cultural Tourism at BUas, serves as conference chair. She does this together with Prof. Aurkene Alzua-Sorzabal (Nebrija University and University of Deusto, Spain) and Prof. Alessandro Inversini (EHL – Hospitality Business School, Switzerland), supported by other researchers and practitioners. “With ENTER26, we offer a platform where science and practice come together to develop technological innovations that truly contribute to a better future for the sector,” says Jessika Weber-Sabil.
