In 2025, the De Hoge Veluwe National Park Foundation welcomed 570.000 paying visitors. That's almost the same number as the previous year (575.000). In 2025, the park celebrated its 90th anniversary, generating considerable media attention.
Wolf in the park
The Park also faced challenges in 2025. For years, the Park has been indicating that the arrival of wolves in the Park poses a threat to biodiversity. We also warned about the danger to humans. These concerns were confirmed in April when a visitor was bitten by a wolf. Later in the year, the common assumption that wolves only kill young and weak animals was proven false. Several adult, healthy red deer were killed in the Park within a short period.
Unique in the world
The Hoge Veluwe National Park is unique in the world for its combination of nature and art. It's the perfect place to experience tranquility, discover remarkable landscapes, and admire important architectural monuments like the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus.
Financially independent
The park is a private, non-profit foundation and operates largely (88%) independently of subsidies. Entrance fees enable the foundation to manage and protect 5.400 hectares of unique landscapes, home to rare fauna and flora.
