In addition to its well-known green camping guides, camping specialist ACSI is presenting the Camper Handbook, available to order online starting Monday, November 3rd. This practical reference is designed for anyone who wants to better understand their motorhome and get the most out of it.

The ACSI Camper Handbook combines practical knowledge with experience, offering both technical explanations and relatable, human stories. This makes the book suitable for both curious beginners and seasoned campers looking to gain a better understanding of their vehicle's technology and maintenance. Should any problems arise while on the road, readers can rely on practical solutions instead of getting lost in the—often only digital—manufacturer's instruction booklet or the supplier of the heater, boiler, or toilet.
Combination of knowledge, tips and fun
"This isn't a travel guide. It's a practical, understandable, and inspiring reference that truly helps you if you want to get started yourself or encounter issues along the way. It combines knowledge, tips, and enjoyment, something virtually no other book in this segment does," say authors Arie and Tineke de Ruijter. ACSI CEO Ramon van Reine sees the Camper Handbook as a valuable addition to his own portfolio: "Back in 2012, we launched our guide specifically for campervan owners, containing information on 12.000 campervan pitches and campsites. What was still missing was a practical guide on campervan use and technology. Thanks to Arie and Tineke's knowledge and experience, this has become a valuable tool for the road."
About the authors
Authors Arie and Tineke de Ruijter are experienced camper enthusiasts and enjoy heading out together. Before his retirement, Arie worked as a lawyer, while Tineke is a driving instructor and gives driving lessons under the name 'VrouwRijdtCamper' to women who want to learn to drive a large(r) motorhome. Together, they previously wrote the book 'Dus u wil een camper?' (So you want a camper?), and with this new ACSI Camper Handbook, they help everyone get to know their own motorhome better. Whether that is a panel van, camper, alcove, or (semi-)integrated camper.
