After the huge success of the Pool Parties in 2025, Aqualibi (Walibi Belgium's water park) is relaunching its nighttime aquatic events in 2026, this time under a new name and identity. The Wave Party features musical evenings with a revamped visual concept and five editions throughout the year. The first Wave Party will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
An evolving concept
In 2025, Aqualibi organized four Pool Parties, each of which was completely sold out before the event itself. One edition was organized in collaboration with the Rampage festival. Several famous DJs provided unforgettable evenings, including Daddy K, DJ Furax, Todiefor, Papy Jumper, and Mandy.
In 2026, Aqualibi will continue this successful momentum with the Wave Party. The name will change, but the DNA will remain the same. Each edition combines electronic music, an impressive lighting design, and access to all aquatic facilities. A total of five Wave Parties are planned, spread across March, June, September, and November. For certain dates, the lineup will be compiled in collaboration with well-known DJs or festivals.
The lineup for the first Wave Party on March 14th will be announced in the coming weeks. Regular ticket prices are €39 (even cheaper in advance).
A stage in the heart of the water park
During the Wave Parties, the stage is set up opposite the wave pool, transforming the heart of Aqualibi into an aquatic dance floor.
All facilities remain accessible throughout the evening. Visitors can freely enjoy the swimming pools, slides, jacuzzis, and relaxation areas.
There will also be a bar and dining area. This first edition also marks the very first evening of the new bar, Aquapulco, which recently opened in the park.
Attention to safety
Swimming pools always require the necessary safety measures. During an event like Wave Parties, where the lighting is on show mode, alcohol is served, and large groups are in the water simultaneously, safety is a key priority. The spokesperson lists several key points:
- Regarding safety: for this type of event, we are providing additional safety measures. Lifeguards will be on duty, with particular attention paid to the area around the wave pool.
- The maximum capacity per evening is 1.500 people.
Events are a particularly lucrative addition to day attractions (if executed well). These Pool Parties at Aqualibi are scheduled at a time when the swimming paradise is normally closed. Moreover, Pool Parties attract a different demographic than the one that would normally visit the park. There are also challenges: such an event requires significant investments, including the investment of well-known (expensive) DJs, and water safety and social safety must be properly organized.
