Campsites, entrepreneurs, and industry partners can nominate candidates for the PiNCAMP Awards 2027. The awards focus on digitalization, sustainability, rental accommodations, and young entrepreneurship within the European camping sector, among other areas.
Six categories for campsites and entrepreneurs
The submission and nomination phase for the PiNCAMP Awards 2027 is open. The winners will be announced on 15 January 2027 during the PiNCAMP Gala in Stuttgart.
The camping prizes are awarded in four categories:
- Innovation & Progress,
- Sustainability & Environmental Awareness,
- Rental accommodation and
- Small Campsite. That last category is intended for small-scale, owner-operated campsites with a maximum of sixty pitches.
In addition, there are two personal awards:
- The Young Talent category focuses on entrepreneurs and executives up to the age of 35.
- The Hall of Fame is intended for individuals who have had a long-lasting influence on European camping tourism.
Digitalization and sustainability at the forefront
The selected categories show which themes currently carry significant weight in the European leisure sector. Regarding innovation, the jury considers, among other things, digital infrastructure, automation, and the guest experience.
Sustainability is not only about energy conservation, but also about the use of raw materials, ecological business operations, and circular applications. In the rental accommodation category, distinctive types of stay, design, and integration into the landscape play a role.
Entrepreneurs can register their own company, but also nominate colleagues, partner campsites, and other professionals. The entire procedure and the award ceremony will take place in English.
Explanation: prices follow the professionalization of the camping market
The categories of the PiNCAMP Awards align with a broader professionalization of the camping sector. Investments are increasingly shifting from solely capacity and facilities to digital processes, sustainable operations, unique accommodations, and good entrepreneurship.
For smaller campsites, the separate category offers an opportunity to differentiate themselves without competing on scale. Furthermore, the focus on young talent underscores the importance of business succession, new leadership skills, and innovative capacity in the leisure and recreation sector.
For campsite entrepreneurs, participation can be particularly relevant as a means to make realized innovations visible and verifiable within an international expert jury.
