The Voltage, the largest indoor entertainment centre in the Netherlands, will open a completely renovated 5-metre kart track on Saturday 550 July. The upgrade required an investment of over 1 million euros and marks one of the largest upgrades in the history of the entertainment company.
Time for renewal
The old kart track has been driven with great pleasure and enthusiasm for the past thirty years, but with today's technology, wonderful improvements are possible. The design of the new track therefore focuses on innovation, safety and driving comfort. Thanks to smart barriers, modern kart systems and an advanced control system, the racing experience is ready for the future.
Slopes, light shows and the latest technology
The kart track has been completely rebuilt and equipped with, among other things, an extra floor, LED lighting and a renewed time registration system. Thanks to screens around the track, visitors can watch the race live. Each kart is equipped with tracking, so that the intermediate scores are continuously visible. The route is challenging, varied and designed to combine excitement and fun. "It is faster, more technical and visually much more impressive than before," says De Voltage.
Open to the public from July 5
The kart track will be open to the public from Saturday 5 July during a soft opening. In this first phase, visitors can be the first to try out the renovated track, while the De Voltage team is still putting the finishing touches on it. The previous kart track was closed for renovation in mid-May. The upgrade took about six weeks.

For the design, De Voltage worked together with 360 Karting, an international player in the field of indoor race tracks. The Slovenian company specializes in multi-level circuits with innovative safety solutions.
