Slagharen is building a new thrill attraction with two levels of experience

The new 30-meter-high attraction, a looping disk thrill ride, will offer two unique levels of experience: a spectacular inverted thrill ride and a family-friendly adventure (that doesn't involve inverting). The arrival of this spectacular new attraction in the spring of 2026 marks a significant milestone in the development of Slagharen Attraction & Holiday Park.

Impression of the new attraction.

"This is a real game-changer for Slagharen," says Sander de Haas, general manager of Slagharen Attraction & Holiday Park. "We're introducing a type of attraction never before seen in the region—a unique combination of height, innovation, and storytelling that will appeal to both families and thrill seekers. This is a special moment for our park and for our guests."

Two adventures, one attraction

The new attraction offers visitors the choice between two completely different experiences:

  • Full inversion mode: an intense adrenaline-fueled adventure with full rotations, dynamic movements, and breathtaking views for visitors seeking the ultimate thrill.
  • Swinging mode: a softer, floating experience, specially designed for families or visitors who want to enjoy height and views — without going overboard.

This design makes it the most versatile attraction in Slagharen's history, appealing to a wide audience and different preferences.

An adventure that pushes boundaries

At 30 meters tall, this attraction is an impressive new highlight within the park's skyline. The attraction's complete theming and the queue will seamlessly integrate with the park's Wild West theme. From the moment visitors enter the queue, the story unfolds, transporting them to their chosen adventure.

A strategic step in the development of the park

The attraction represents a significant expansion of Slagharen's offerings and supports the park's strategy to strengthen its position as one of the most popular family parks in the Netherlands. It introduces a type of experience previously unseen in the region and represents a significant chapter in the park's renovation.

More details to follow

The official name and theme will be announced at a later date. In the lead-up to the opening, Slagharen will regularly share teasers, construction updates, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content as the project progresses toward its 2026 opening.

A swing with a round disc of this size is unique in the Netherlands. An attraction with two different levels of experience has also recently been added to Walibi, with the dueling roller coasters Chill & Thrill under the umbrella name YoYThese are two different roller coasters, but Slagharen manages to combine them into a single attraction. By alternating between the Full inversion and Swinging modes, for example, both target groups are catered to, allowing the attraction to appeal to a wide audience.
