In just over two months, another big water sports festival will take place in the Bataviahaven in Lelystad. Just over a week after Sail Amsterdam, the Hiswa te Water will once again delight tens of thousands of water sports enthusiasts, this time with the most beautiful products on the market.

The fortieth edition of the largest water sports fair in North-West Europe promises to be extra festive. Fair director Arjen Rahusen: “Actually, the Hiswa te Water is always a party, so lovers of nautical lifestyle get their money's worth every year. This year we have redesigned the entrance tent, so that everyone is welcomed even more chicly. You will also find the necessary information stands there. Every day there are exhibitors who invite their relations for a drink or a party. The atmosphere will be cozy and even more focused on enjoying boats and water sports. We will have a pop-up restaurant and other catering (food trucks) again. There will be demonstrations every day. There will also be a test drive jetty, where people can sail with the KNRM.
Attention to sustainability
The fair is an international stage for Dutch yacht building. Visitors from all over the world come to Lelystad to admire the most beautiful yachts. Sales manager Alex Hoeve: “Right at the stairs to the harbour you are surprised by beautiful classic boats with shiny mahogany and stainless steel. Like every year there are many sloops and tenders. These are getting bigger and often have an electric drive. Sustainability plays a major role and this year there are many yachts that respond to that. At the outboard motor pavilions you now also see many electric drives. A striking scoop is an 11-metre long Waterspoor. Incidentally, the largest yacht at the fair this time is a sailing eight, the Nehalenia, a 28-metre long Hoogaars.
