On January 16, a new indoor golf location 'RUFF' will open its doors in leisure-retail center The Wall in Utrecht. This location offers six courses and a large indoor putting green, suitable for both golfers and non-golfers. The concept, which has already proven successful internationally, is now also available in the Netherlands.
The three Dutch founders are: Johan Hus, Pieter Gabes and Johan van der Lijcke. RUFF is a Franchise concept that originates from the Swedish developer Alex Bengtsson. In Sweden, 11 locations have now been opened. In addition, they have started a rollout to the rest of Europe. This has already resulted in 2 locations in Austria, 2 in Germany (Düsseldorf will open soon), 2 in Switzerland and now also one in the Netherlands.
The Wall location offers a mix of shops and entertainment, situated in Utrecht directly next to the A2 (the striking red building). In July 2023, a large part of the leisure section was already occupied by Teamsport E-karting . Play-in is also located in the building , operating, among other things, an indoor play area, an arcade hall, escape rooms, a climbing wall, a Virtual Reality zone, Urban Crazy Minigolf, and a trampoline park.

This new flagship location will officially open its doors on 16 January and promises to offer an experience in which golf, gastronomy and conviviality come together. In addition to a beautiful putting green in the middle of the venue, RUFF offers exclusive facilities for both relaxation and business meetings. The private lounge is specially designed to combine business appointments with relaxation. Here, guests can meet in a stylish environment and at the same time enjoy an exclusive private golf course.
Golf meets gastronomy
At RUFF, everything revolves around the best activities you can do, and certainly also about relaxation. The various sharing platters and snack platters stand out on the rich menu.”
Opening January 16
The location will be officially opened during an evening program. Alex Bengsston, founder of RUFF from Sweden, and Manon Flier, ambassador of Spieren voor Spieren and former top athlete, will perform the opening ceremony. During this evening, the final of the influencer show will also take place, where a jury will determine who will be the face of RUFF on social media for the coming year.
