Landal Drentse Lagune in Westerbork has been open and available for booking for several years. Until now, the park's guests had to do without a large central building. The central facility, including an indoor swimming pool, has now been completed.
In the new central amenities building, guests can make use of, among other things, an indoor swimming pool with a children's pool, an indoor play area with an interactive play wall, and an atmospheric beach club with a waterside terrace. There is also a park shop selling groceries and local products, and a reception desk where guests and visitors can go with questions. The waterside terrace serves as a central meeting place, offering views of the lagoon and play facilities for children.
With the expansion, the park gains a number of important facilities that make the stay more complete and strengthen the recreational offerings in the region.
The resort consists of detached holiday homes, mostly situated by the water and featuring a private beach. The larger homes are suitable for families and groups, partly due to multiple bathrooms. The special child-friendly homes are deliberately located further away from the water. Dog lovers can stay in a special dog-friendly home featuring, among other things, a fenced garden.
Water fun and outdoor living play a central role: swimming from the private sandy beach, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and pedal boating are among the possibilities. The facilities are not only accessible to park guests but are also open to residents from the region and other recreational visitors.
