Boudewijn Seapark in Bruges will open the doors of a new indoor playground in early June 2025. The park is investing €800.000 in the new attraction, which, with a surface area of 2.132 m² and a height of 8 meters on three floors, offers a unique themed play paradise for children.
The (grand)parents have also been thought of. They can choose to sit in the indoor playground close to the children, or to relax in the adjacent, quiet restaurant.
Underwater world as a theme
The indoor playground is fully themed as a magical underwater world . Visitors are immersed in an imaginative setting full of playtime fun. Even the ceiling is part of this breathtaking world, which invites children to discover all the attractions, slides, and play zones.
These are the attractions you can expect
The new indoor playground will offer an impressive range of play options:
- 15 slides, including spiral slides, a donut tire slide, slides with LED lighting and an interactive slide with 3D projection (slide down between the fish and the fish will move away from you)
- Submarine crawl tube, Fun shooter area and a interactive ball pit
- Ninja Challenge and a giant pirate ship for climbing and scrambling fun
- Demarcated soft zone for the little ones
- RopeLand area: colorful crocheted trampoline zone on the 1th floor
- Three mechanical attractions: waveswinger, mini bumper cars and drop tower
- Giant bowling and axe throwing attraction, in a safe soft play environment

Boudewijn Seapark is one of the larger attractions in the region around Bruges, with approximately 245.000 paying visitors in 2024. Traditionally, Boudewijn Seapark is known as a dolphinarium. By order of the Flemish government, the park must cease keeping dolphins as of 2037.
A park spokesperson states that the Dolphins will continue to receive all the attention for the time being: “We are also continuing to invest in the dolphinarium; this is and remains a key feature of our park. With the new indoor playground, we want to offer our audience a wider range of options. Together with the dolphinarium and our covered ice rink, the new indoor playground allows us to provide indoor activities for 3.600 people simultaneously. And that is precisely what makes our park unique compared to other amusement parks.”
