Last Monday, the annual LeisureKing Inspiration Day took place in Asperen. The event also marked the 10th anniversary of LeisureKing. The day was all about innovation, customer experience and collaboration within the day recreation sector. More than 180 entrepreneurs and professionals came together to learn from each other, get inspired and discuss the latest trends.

Innovation in the Customer Journey
Björn Hogeveen, from LeisureKing, opened the day with a presentation on the latest developments within the platform. These innovations are aimed at optimizing the customer journey within the leisure sector. Think of new functionalities that simplify the booking process for both entrepreneurs and customers and reduce the workload.
The focus on customer experience was further explored during a lively panel discussion, led by Erik Kroon. Entrepreneurs such as Ankie Maessen (Gemeentegrot Valkenburg), Rick Snelders (Bootverhuur de Admiraal), Tom Bremer (Toms Creek), Sjoerd Vissers (SUP Yourself) and Hendri Meendering (Vesting Bourtange) shared their experiences and insights on how they shape the customer journey in their companies. It emerged that the use of technology, such as automatic emails and social media, is crucial, but that the human aspect on location remains an indispensable factor.
Booking trends in Day Recreation
In addition to customer experience, the Inspiration Day also focused on the changing booking patterns within the day recreation market. Recent figures show that more and more consumers are making their bookings last minute, with a peak around 11 a.m. This emphasizes the importance of a flexible and user-friendly online booking system. August 17 was also named the busiest day of the year for day recreation.
These insights are of great importance for entrepreneurs who are active in, for example, indoor playgrounds, boat trips, city tours and SUP rental. For them it is essential to be able to respond quickly to changing customer needs and to ensure that their reservation systems work smoothly, even during peak times.

Automation and Feedback
Another important topic was automation in the customer journey. Many entrepreneurs wonder how many automated emails are effective and whether customers are not tired of feedback emails by now. These are relevant questions in a time when companies are increasingly using automated processes to inform and engage customers.
The Power of “Measuring is Knowing”
The icing on the cake was the presentation by racing driver and entrepreneur Tom Coronel, who inspired the audience with his story about entrepreneurship and competitiveness. “Measuring is knowing” was his message, both in the racing world and in business. Coronel emphasized that success starts with acting quickly, continuously optimizing and continuing to measure and adjust. This fits in perfectly with the working method of LeisureKing, which is constantly developing new features to help entrepreneurs accelerate their business and at the same time reduce the workload.

10 Years LeisureKing: Looking Back and Looking Ahead
The Inspiration Day also marked a special milestone: the 10th anniversary of LeisureKing. Over the past ten years, the company has developed into a leading player in the leisure market. With a continuous focus on innovation, LeisureKing continues to support entrepreneurs to work efficiently and customer-oriented. Over the next ten years, the platform will undoubtedly continue to play an important role in the digitalization and optimization of day recreation and Erik Kroon and his team will continue to lead the way.
