The Farmhouse Lodges bring more of what Pairi Daiza does so well: creating amazement for its visitors through proximity. From now on, visitors can book a Lodge, wake up in the morning in an authentic abbey farm and be immediately greeted by farm animals. The interaction and the opportunity to experience unique moments creates a new hotel concept that can now be booked. The first guests are expected from March 21.
Innovative hotel accommodations since 2019
The hotels in Pairi Daiza were a first for Belgium in June 2019. For the first time, a hotel guest can spend the night with a direct view of Stellar sea lions, fallow deer, European wolves, brown and black bears. In 2020, the Park will take a new step with the opening of The Land of the Cold: polar bears, walruses, penguins and Siberian tigers can be admired directly from luxurious hotel rooms. A lightning-fast and revolutionary development for the Park and absolute added value for the hotel sector in Belgium that will resonate far abroad. Pairi Daiza's vision is extended to these unique accommodation options: you can now stimulate your love for nature through a premium hotel concept that shows how beautiful wild animals live 24/7. Pairi Daiza was awarded for this in 2022 by the New Hotel Awards as the best new hotel concept. The award was a wonderful reward, but the persistently high occupancy rate of the Pairi Daiza Resort is the real icing on the cake, in 2023 the Pairi Daiza Resort was able to record an occupancy rate of more than 95%!
Tradition, relaxation and immersion in the new Farmhouse Lodges
Pairi Daiza will take a new step in 2024 with a hotel that focuses fully on authenticity, interaction and experience. The new Farm House Lodges allow visitors to enjoy a piece of the history of the Cambron site. In the old horse stables and farm you will stay in brand new hotel rooms with luxurious finishes based on the rural Hainaut architecture and associated materials. Warm wood, natural stone and warm, soothing colors provide a setting that focuses on complete relaxation. Pairi Daiza wants to provide visitors with a carefree overnight stay among animals. Mini horses and pigs, Belgian fowl species, goats and sheep, but also wallabies, maras and rheas will be your direct neighbors during a stay at Pairi Daiza. Guests in the Farm House Lodges enjoy complete tranquility thanks to the closed architecture of the farm, but also have access to the Park, can visit it at any time of the day, have the choice to dine in one of the many restaurants and also enjoy of wellness facilities. From March 21, the first guests of the Farmhouse Lodges are welcome at Pairi Daiza. The opening of the new hotel will increase the total number of rooms from 100 to 121.
Sleep in a beautiful piece of Belgian history
The Farm House Lodges breathe history, the rooms are part of the old Cistercian abbey that was located on the site of Pairi Daiza. From the 13th century onwards, monks have lived, worked and studied there for centuries and it is a theological center with a rich and turbulent history. The curtain fell on the order shortly after the French Revolution, and the site fell into the hands of the counts of Val du Beaulieu. It was not until 1993 that the buildings changed hands and Eric Domb, the founder and owner of Pairi Daiza, started Paradisio there. Many visitors will recognize the site because they passed it in the early days of the Park, the building was part of the old main entrance that has now been redesigned and opened in February 2023. The unique building that has been very well preserved over time and now underwent renovation and is ready for the future as Pairi Daiza's newest hotel.
30 years of Pairi Daiza
This year is also the 30th anniversary of Pairi Daiza. The festive opening of a hotel, such as the Farm House Lodges, that is full of history spanning several centuries, therefore bears witness to beautiful symbolism. This year, hotel guests will be able to prepare themselves for special programs with entertainment, an opening of a new Japanese continent and many new plans. Pairi Daiza invites everyone to celebrate this festive year from the opening of the new season on February 10.
