2024 was a record year for the Plopsaland Resort (De Panne). Plopsaland De Panne recorded a turnover growth of 15% and a total of 1.388.732 visitors. The Studio 100 Theater De Panne received 150.000 theater visitors and at Waterpark Plopsaqua 271.433 visitors passed through the entrance gate. The accommodations also grew strongly: 40.881 guests enjoyed a stay at the Plopsaland Theater Hotel.
Growth in accommodation and entertainment
The growth in visitor numbers was made possible in part by the Studio 100 Festival, which put the iconic Studio 100 characters in the spotlight for a year. In addition, the Fairytale Musical Snow White, the Gert & James Summer Revue and shows such as the Samson & Marie Summer and Christmas Show in the Studio 100 Theater De Panne contributed to the strong figures.
The expansion of the accommodation facilities also contributed to the growth. The recently opened Plopsaland Village, with luxury villas for 6 to 12 people, had a successful start and achieved an occupancy rate of 71% during the Christmas holidays.
The growth we achieved in 2024 confirms that our focus on the total experience is resonating. The strong visitor numbers demonstrate that families are finding their way to our resort for a unique mix of attractions, water fun, accommodation, and entertainment. These record figures are a great recognition of the hard work of our entire team.
