Strong Easter holidays for Plopsaland De Panne at the start of the anniversary year

Plopsaland De Panne recorded a 27% increase in visitor numbers during the Easter holidays compared to last year. The park celebrated its anniversary year – in which it has existed for 25 years – with, among other things, the new 25 Celebration Parade.

The combination of the mild spring weather, lots of entertainment and the extra offer around the anniversary ensured a strong turnout during the Easter holidays. One of the eye-catchers was the new 25 Celebration Parade: a daily parade with eight themed floats in which the Studio 100 characters take center stage.

“The Easter holidays were a strong start to the anniversary year for us. We not only saw a quarter more visitors, but also very positive reactions to the parade, the new Night Watch zone and the total experience in the park.”

Carl Lenaerts, CEO of the Plopsa Group

In the coming months, the anniversary will be further celebrated at the Plopsaland Resort, including the opening of Wickie's Wervelwind, a new family attraction in Wickieland. The Studio 100 Theater will also be bringing an extensive show program, including the anniversary show De Plopsa Droom and the Gert & James Zomershow.

The other Belgian Plopsa parks also look back on a successful Easter holiday. The beautiful spring weather ensured extra interest from visitors in Plopsa Coo Ardennes and the Plopsaqua water parks.

We are very satisfied with how the Easter holidays went at all our parks. The season has started with a strong foundation, and we expect another great Easter weekend. These positive signals give us the confidence to continue our investment plans across the entire group.
