The number of fast food establishments in the Netherlands has increased by 88% since 2007. The supply per capita is particularly high in coastal municipalities, on the Wadden Islands, and in other tourist locations. The figures show how strongly visitor flows help determine the local hospitality offering.

In 2025, 52,2 million guests stayed in Dutch hotels, campsites, and holiday parks. That is nearly 2 percent more than in 2024. The growth in 2025 came from foreign guests. There were 22,3 million of them, a 5 percent increase.
